Our Story

Sand started with a simple idea, bush-inspired apparel that belongs in the bush as much as it belongs anywhere else.

But we didn't want it to look like "safari wear." We wanted something that could sit just as comfortably in a coffee shop in town as it could on a game drive at sunrise — earthy enough to belong in the bush, understated enough to belong anywhere else too.

More than anything, we wanted clothing you don’t have to be precious about. A jersey that goes over jeans, over a dusty pair of boots, over whatever you're already wearing. Something you can wear in the dirt without a second thought, wash, wear again, and watch it soften and fade a little more each time. Not distressed for effect. Genuinely lived in.

That's where the washed, faded finish on every piece comes from — not a trend, just honesty. Clothes that age the way the bush does: better with time, softer with wear, more themselves the longer you have them.

100% cotton. Simple shapes. Colors pulled straight from the land around us. Sun-baked earth. Faded khaki. The soft, worn tones of grass gone dry in winter. We wanted clothing that carried those colors with it, wherever it went.

Built to be worn hard, loved long, and never treated like it's too good to actually live in.

Sand. Made for chasing sunsets — and everything in between.
